1. Preparation

Equipment Inspection: Before operation, inspect all components of the concrete batching plant, including the mixer, conveying system, weighing system, and control system, to ensure they are in good working condition.
 
Cleaning Residual Concrete: Remove any leftover concrete from the mixer and conveying equipment to avoid contamination and ensure the quality of the next batch.
 
Material Preparatio: Based on project requirements, load cement, aggregates (such as sand and gravel), and additives into their respective storage bins. Make sure all materials meet the required quality standards.

2. Weighing and Batching

Accurate Material Weighing: The weighing system measures each type of material according to the preset mix ratio. This system includes electronic scales, sensors, and controllers that ensure precise measurement of cement, aggregates, water, and additives for consistent concrete quality.
 
Material Conveying: The conveying system includes aggregate conveyors, cement conveyors, and water delivery lines. Aggregates are typically delivered by belt conveyors or skip hoists; cement is conveyed using screw conveyors or pneumatic systems; water is supplied through pumps and pipelines.
 
Controlled Batching: The control system directs the weighing system to batch materials precisely according to the set recipe. Once weighed, materials are delivered to the mixer through the respective conveying systems.

3. Mixing

Efficient Mixing Process: The mixer is activated to blend cement, aggregates, and water into uniform concrete. A twin-shaft compulsory mixer is commonly used for its high efficiency, excellent mixing uniformity, and durability.
 
Mixing Parameters: Inside the mixer, rotating blades continuously stir the materials to ensure thorough mixing. Mixing time and speed can be adjusted based on the specific concrete type and project requirements.

4. Discharge and Transportation

Concrete Discharge: Once mixing is complete, the concrete is discharged through an outlet and loaded into transit mixers or concrete pumps.
 
On-Site Delivery: During transport to the construction site, the concrete must remain uniform and workable. Proper handling helps prevent segregation, bleeding, or premature setting.

How to Maintain a Concrete Batching Plant?

I. Mechanical Component Maintenance

Mixer
Regularly check the wear condition of mixing blades and liners. Replace them promptly if they are seriously worn to ensure mixing quality and efficiency. Pay attention to the sealing of the mixing shafts to prevent slurry leakage, which could affect equipment performance.
 
Screw Conveyor
Monitor wear on the screw blades and check the rotation of the drive shaft. Clean accumulated materials inside the conveyor in time to avoid blockages. Regular lubrication is essential to ensure smooth operation.
 
Belt Conveyor
Check the belt tension regularly—too loose or too tight can affect transport efficiency or damage the belt. Inspect for wear and replace heavily worn belts as needed. Keep the conveyor surface clean and remove any foreign objects to prevent belt entanglement or tearing.

II. Electrical System Maintenance

Control Cabinet
Keep the inside of the control cabinet clean and dry to prevent dust and moisture from damaging electrical components. Regularly check wire connections to ensure solid contact and avoid failures caused by poor conductivity.
 
Sensors
Regularly calibrate sensors (e.g., level sensors, load cells) to maintain measurement accuracy. Clean them as needed to avoid signal distortion due to surface contamination.
 
Cables and Wiring
Inspect cables for insulation damage or aging. Replace any faulty wires promptly. Protect cables from external pulling, crushing, or bending to prevent short circuits or disconnections.
 
Frequency Inverter (VFD)
Periodically clean and inspect the inverter to ensure proper heat dissipation. Monitor its operating parameters (such as frequency and voltage) and address any abnormalities immediately.

III. Lubrication System Maintenance

Oil Level and Refilling
Check oil levels regularly and ensure they are within the specified range. Use appropriate lubricants based on the machine’s usage and specifications, and refill on schedule and in proper quantities.
 
Clean Lubrication Points
Keep all lubrication points clean to prevent dust or debris from contaminating the system. Periodically clean the system and replace oil filters if necessary.
 
Monitor Pressure and Temperature
Watch for abnormal pressure or temperature levels in the lubrication system and take corrective action promptly to prevent accelerated wear or mechanical failure.

IV. General Maintenance

Routine Inspections
Perform regular overall inspections of the batching plant, including its structure, appearance, and connection points. Address any issues as soon as they are detected.
 
Cleaning
