A horizontal cement silo (also called a container-type cement silo) is a low-profile bulk powder storage apparatus for storing cement and other powdery materials. Unlike vertical silos, it has a horizontal structure with a lower overall height. It is usually made of a rectangular body and steel legs, which makes transportation, installation, and maintenance more convenient.

AGICO’s horizontal cement silos have a capacity range from 30 tons to 500 tons and can be customized according to project requirements. They are suitable for storing cement, fly ash, lime powder, dry sand, mineral powder, and other dry bulk powder materials.

Our equipment uses a fully welded heavy-duty steel structure and is coated with a weather-resistant anti-corrosion layer, allowing long-term stable operation under harsh working conditions. Each system is integrated with a screw conveyor, dust removal system, level indicator, arch-breaking device, safety valve, and electrical control system to achieve stable, efficient, and continuous powder conveying.

Key Advantages of AGICO Horizontal Cement Silo

Low Profile Structure, Easy Installation

The low-profile design does not require tall cranes or complex lifting equipment. Installation can be completed within a few hours. No concrete foundation is needed, which reduces installation costs and allows quick operation. It is ideal for projects with tight schedules.

Modular Design, Easy Transportation

Our horizontal cement silos support container or truck transportation without special transport permits. For capacities below 150 tons, we provide complete containerized transport solutions. The modular design also allows multiple silos to be combined for larger storage capacity.

Suitable for Various Powder Materials

These silos can handle many kinds of dry and free-flowing powder materials with bulk densities similar to Portland cement (about 1.13 t/m³). They are suitable for storing cement, fly ash, lime powder, mineral powder, dry sand, and more.

Dust Collection and Environmental Protection

Each silo is equipped with an electric or pulse dust collector on the top. The system is easy to operate, reliable, and fully automatic. The sealed conveying system and dust collection function help your site meet environmental standards, reduce air pollution and material waste, and improve the working environment.

Stable and Reliable Feeding & Discharge System

The combination of a screw conveyor and arch-breaking system ensures stable and reliable operation. The vibration motor prevents material blockage and bridging. Optional load cells are available for accurate inventory tracking and batch control.

Main Components of the Horizontal Cement Silo Storage System

horizontal silo structure configuration drawing

Silo Body

Made of high-quality steel with a fully welded structure. It has high strength, good sealing performance, and up to 95% storage efficiency.

Level Indicator

Monitors the material level inside the silo in real time for easier production management.

Arch-Breaking and Flow-Aid System

Includes vibration motors and flow-aid devices. It prevents cement bridging and blockage to ensure smooth discharge.

Electrical Control System

Centralized control of the screw conveyor, dust collection system, vibration devices, and level monitoring system.

Screw Conveyor

Used to transport powder materials to the mixing plant or weighing system. It provides stable and continuous feeding.

Dust Collection System

Used for dust filtration and environmental protection. It supports automatic vibration cleaning and optional electric or pulse-jet types.
