Concrete Batching Plant for Cold Weather
Addressing Winter Construction Challenges
In cold weather, concrete production faces many problems. Pipes can freeze. Water can turn into ice. Aggregates may become too cold. The cement hydration reaction slows down. These issues can reduce concrete strength.
Stopping work in winter can delay projects and cause big economic losses. If you continue production in winter, you should consider an insulated concrete mixing plant.
AGICO’s insulated concrete batching plant is designed to solve these problems. It works well in very cold regions and during winter construction. Its main principle is to heat all areas where additives, water, and cold aggregates are processed. It also insulates all structures, pipes, and hoses. This ensures stable operation even at -30°C.
Our plant uses a multi-layer insulation structure and smart temperature control technology. Its main components include an insulated aggregate bin, a heated mixing unit, an anti-freeze conveying system, and an automatic temperature control system. These features prevent materials from freezing and help maintain the strength and flow of concrete.
All-Weather Concrete Batching Plant Core System
-30°C Stable Operation System

Active Heating
Heating of aggregates: Thermal conduits are installed within the aggregate storage bin to precisely control the temperature of the sand and stone, preventing freezing and clumping.
Water heating system: It uses either electric heating or boiler heating, combined with an insulated water tank, ensuring a stable and controllable water temperature (≤ 60°C).
Anti-freezing pipelines and valves: All water pipelines and admixture pipelines are wrapped with self-regulating heating tapes. Valves and interfaces are all designed with anti-freezing structures.
Water heating system: The cement silo is equipped with an electric heating system. The additive tank is moved indoors, covered with electric heating blankets, and an insulation cover is added.
Intelligent Heating Control: With a single button, the extremely cold mode automatically adjusts the heating power, the proportion of aggregate preheating, and the water temperature. It also supports remote APP monitoring and data synchronization.
Passive Thermal Insulation
Fully enclosed external sealing structure: It covers areas such as the mixing machine, batching machine, sand and stone storage bin, and belt conveyor, protecting against wind, snow, and dust.
Insulation storage container: The inner lining of the aggregate storage bin is made of highly efficient insulation material. The powder storage bin adopts a double-layer insulation structure, and the dust collector at the top of the bin is treated for anti-freezing.
Box-type Thermal Insulation Workshop: It adopts double-layer color steel plates combined with polyurethane core panels, and the thickness of the wall insulation layer can reach 50 cm. A hot air curtain is installed at the entrance to prevent cold air from entering and maintain the warehouse temperature at 5°C or higher.
Pipeline insulation: In addition to the active electric heating, the outer walls of all pipelines are further covered with rubberized sponge or rock wool tubes to achieve double temperature control.

Continuous Construction Capability in Winter
Stable Production Output Under Low-Temperature Conditions
For winter conditions, AGICO’s insulated concrete batching and mixing plant is designed to fully consider the continuous operation capability in low-temperature environments. The equipment can maintain stable operation in extremely cold conditions. It is equipped with anti-freezing and insulation designs to ensure that aggregates, water, and powder materials can be transported and measured normally at low temperatures, effectively reducing downtime caused by equipment icing and material freezing, and ensuring the construction progress and meeting the requirements for all-weather construction.
