Small Footprint

The skip hoist concrete batching plant is designed with an ultra-compact and flexible structure. It is ideal for projects where space is limited and installation conditions are complex.

It uses a bucket elevator system to lift aggregates directly into the mixer, simplifying the overall layout and improving material handling efficiency. Compared with belt-type batching plants, it can reduce the required footprint by 30%–50% while significantly lowering initial investment costs.

Key components of AGICO’s Skip Hoist Concrete Batching Plant include a JS twin-shaft forced concrete mixer (A planetary mixer is also available as an option). It is composed of four main parts: a mixing unit, a conveying system, an aggregate storage system, and an intelligent electrical control system. It supports the stable production of both plastic concrete and dry-hard concrete, meeting different construction requirements.

This plant is especially suitable for small to medium-sized projects, rural infrastructure construction, and urban job sites with restricted space conditions. It offers a practical and cost-effective solution for first-time investors or customers with limited budgets.

Why Choose a Skip Hoist Type Concrete Batching Plant

Fast return on investment

Reduce initial investment. Get your plant up and running!

  • The complex structure of the long-distance belt conveying system has been eliminated, resulting in lower equipment procurement and maintenance costs.
  • The site can be put into operation directly after hardening, significantly reducing infrastructure investment.

Fully automatic control

One-click start. Fully automated from start to finish.

  • The entire process is automatically executed, significantly reducing manual intervention and human errors.
  • Real-time data monitoring of the production process, visible status of equipment operation, and automatic alarm for abnormal situations facilitate remote management and rapid troubleshooting.

Space saving

Same capacity, smaller footprint, built for constrained sites.

  • The bucket elevator station adopts vertical feeding. The entire station is compactly laid out, and the floor area is usually only 90-120 square meters.
  • The modular structure supports flexible layout adjustments according to the actual site conditions.
  • The finished materials can be discharged in multiple directions, and it is suitable for irregular or narrow sites.

Simple structure

Get up and running quickly with minimal training.

  • The water and gas pipelines have been pre-installed in the factory, and interface positions have been reserved.
  • The main structure can be installed on-site in just 2-3 days. The control logic is intuitive, and even novice operators can start working after a brief training.
  • The lifting mechanism is equipped with multiple safety protections (to prevent rope loosening, to prevent toppling, and to prevent falling).

Working Principle of Skip Hoist Concrete Batch Plant

System Startup

  • Open the control software and log in to the operation interface.
  • Set or retrieve production parameters such as ratio, concrete grade, slump, output, etc.
  • Click “One-click Start,” and the PLC system will immediately execute the production process according to the preset values.

Aggregate Batching and Conveying

  • The loader loads different-sized sand and gravel into separate aggregate bins.
  • The aggregates are weighed separately and temporarily stored in weighing hoppers, waiting for the lifting hopper to descend and receive the materials.
  • After the hopper receives the materials, it is lifted along the track to the discharge port at the top of the mixing machine.

Powder, Water, and Admixture Batching & Conveying

  • During the process of feeding materials into the hopper, the weighing of the powder materials is also carried out simultaneously. The screw conveyor transports cement and fly ash into the mixer, and the water pump and admixture pump complete the weighing of the liquid materials.

Mixing

  • After the feeding is completed, the mixer is activated, and the material is forcibly mixed and stirred for the set time.

Discharge

  • After the mixing process is completed, the discharge door of the main machine opens, and the finished concrete is discharged into the lower hopper or the mixing truck.
  • At the same time, the empty hopper falls back to the bottom along the track, and the system enters the next production cycle.

FAQs

The skip hoist batching plant requires lower investment, offers faster return on investment, and occupies less space. It is ideal for customers with limited budgets, restricted site conditions, or short-term projects that require frequent relocation. If you pursue higher production capacity and continuous operation, a belt-type batching plant is a better choice, as it provides higher efficiency and stronger adaptability. Contact AGICO for professional selection advice.

Yes, it can. The skip hoist batching plant is fully capable of producing high-strength concrete such as C50 and C60.

It is not recommended, as the modification cost is relatively high. If you expect future capacity expansion, it is more economical to either invest in a belt-type plant directly or add another skip hoist plant to form a dual-plant system.
